Job Duties:
The Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for carrying out various Employee Relations functions, including but not limited to employee and management consultation, complaint investigation, conflict resolution, job performance review, and the preparation and delivery of corrective actions, memos, reports, and recommendations. The Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for demonstrating excellent professional judgment and discretion and maintaining a working understanding of Moneytree’s Policies and Procedures and applicable HR laws.
- Prepare and draft corrective actions, memos, and reports that are clear, direct, and legally sound
- Support progressive disciplinary actions that are consistent and fair
- Work closely with members of the Employee Relations Team to conduct internal investigations and provide timely, thorough, and accurate reports
- Clearly and concisely communicate Company policy to management and team members on behalf of the Company
- Perform intake calls and analysis related to potential COVID-19 exposure as needed and pursuant to the Company’s COVID-19 Contagious Disease Protocol
- Manage and update logs, records, lists, and data tracking sheets
- Ensure all written correspondence, documentation, and files meet established content standards
- Perform administrative duties for the Employee Relations Team
- Assist with various human resource projects
- Crosstrain with the Leave Specialist to gain a working understanding of Moneytree’s leave programs and policies; perform leave-related duties and functions as needed
Skills
- Excellent working knowledge of Employee Relations best practices and HR laws
- Ability to analyze information and convert related activities into a comprehensive work plan
- Ability to multitask and drive multiple projects
- Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid and complete conclusions
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to appropriately handle confidential information
- Demonstrated problem-solving, time management, and priority-setting skills
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Ability to quickly learn workflow, leave, and time and attendance software/processes
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of professional experience
- At least two years of Human Resources experience
- At least two years of experience handling employee relations cases
- SPHR, PHR, or CPDM certificate or equivalent
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is a plus
- An adequate workspace at home and reliable internet access, pursuant to Moneytree’s Work-From-Home Policy
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $28.84-33.66/per hour, depending on experience
